Deep dark color with notes of ripe black currant, more
distinctive notes of berries and spices in the aroma –
that’s what brings out this type of absinth.
 
Differences in taste and aroma between the black absinth
and the classic green one also result from the fact that in
production of the black absinth not only leaves and
blossoms but also roots are used. Licorice notes also give
the beverage some extra intensity in the taste and aroma.
